Most Indian D2C brands stall before they sell a single unit abroad. Not because the product is wrong — because the paperwork is. A US LLC has to exist before Amazon will hand you a Seller Central account. An IEC and AD Code have to be in place before customs will clear your first carton. EU sellers need IOSS and EORI numbers, and brand registry is a separate hoop again.

    Not technically — Amazon accepts Indian-registered entities — but you almost always want one. A US LLC gets you faster disbursement, US-domiciled payments, easier ad account approvals, and cleaner tax treatment for US-source income.

  • How long does set-up take?

    Most brands are listing within 4–8 weeks from kickoff. The variable parts are KYC at marketplaces (1–3 weeks), brand registry (2–6 weeks once your trademark is filed), and any category-specific certifications.

  • Can you reuse my existing Amazon.in account?

    No. Amazon Global Selling lets you bridge your Indian Seller Central with international marketplaces, but each region (US, UK, EU, UAE) is operationally a separate account that needs its own setup.
