Amazon Global Selling Fees from India: Full 2026 Breakdown

Every fee Amazon Global Selling charges Indian sellers: referral, FBA, storage, professional plan, ads, and the hidden costs nobody warns you about.

#amazon-global-selling#fees#costs

Amazon Global Selling does not charge a "Global Selling" fee. Every cost you pay is the standard Amazon Seller Central fee, charged in the destination market currency.

Here is the per-region fee breakdown an Indian seller actually pays:

Amazon USA (USD):

  • Professional plan: $39.99/month (effectively mandatory).
  • Referral fee: 8–15% by category, most consumer categories 15%.
  • FBA fulfilment: $3.06–$13+ per unit by size tier.
  • Monthly storage: $0.87/cubic ft (Jan–Sep), $2.40/cubic ft (Oct–Dec).

Amazon UK (GBP):

  • Professional plan: £25/month.
  • Referral fee: 7–15% by category.
  • FBA: £2.05–£10+ per unit.
  • VAT on B2C: 20% (you collect, then remit through your UK VAT registration).

Amazon UAE (AED):

  • Professional plan: AED 100/month.
  • Referral fee: 5–15% by category.
  • FBA: AED 7–30+ per unit.
  • VAT: 5%.

Amazon Germany / EU (EUR):

  • Professional plan: €39/month.
  • Referral fee: 7–15% by category.
  • FBA: €1.85–€8+ per unit.
  • VAT: 19% (DE), 20% (FR), 21% (ES), 22% (IT). Mandatory registration for FBA storage.
  • EPR / VerpackG / WEEE: country-specific eco-fees, typically €100–€500/year flat.

Hidden costs Indian sellers underestimate:

  • A-to-Z claim risk: chargebacks averaging 0.5–2% of GMV.
  • Long-term storage surcharges past 365 days (now 271 days for new sellers).
  • Ad spend to reach top-of-funnel: 12–18% TACoS at maturity, 30–60% on launch.
  • Returns triage costs: $1–$3 per returned unit, depending on disposition.

For a $20 SKU sold on Amazon USA with mature 15% TACoS and 6% return rate, plan on Amazon taking roughly 40–45% of the gross price. That means you need your landed COGS to be under 25–30% of retail to clear a healthy contribution margin.
